We give bikes and specially adapted trikes to help children with cancer across the UK

Story

Approximately 2,400 children and young people (up to, and including the age of 18) are diagnosed with cancer each year in the UK. We are passionate about helping all of these families along this difficult journey. We help children to regain their physical fitness and mental wellness by giving them new bikes, adapted trikes and specialist support during treatment and into recovery. Since the charity began in 2005 we have awarded over 8,000 bikes and trikes and we can only continue to do this with the support of our amazing fundraisers!

Journey to the Sea 2022

The Class 3 team from Brockton CE Primary School in Shropshire are (aged 9-11) will be walking from Brockton to Aberdyfi on the Welsh coast. We will be walking around 11 miles each day following footpaths, tracks, and quiet lanes. Our overnight accommodation along the way includes a church barn and village halls. Our total distance is 77 miles. The children will be catering for themselves for the majority of the week.

As a result of walking to the coast we hope that the children will be rewarded with a great sense of achievement and a 'can do' attitude towards challenges in the future. In addition to the personal benefits of this experience we are hoping to help others by raising money for three charities: Ataxia UK, Hannah's Holiday Homes and Cyclists Fighting Cancer.
