Story
Bristol Royal Hospital for Children are in need of new resources
to help children cope with Medical Procedures and scans!
Bristol Children’s Hospital have a Play Team made up of 22 amazing individuals, who work hard to brighten the lives of very sick children.
The Play Specialists work 1:1 with patients to reduce fear and anxiety by explaining medical procedures in ways that children will understand. They provide medical preparation for scans, operations and any intervention that a child may receive as part of their treatment and care.
The play team also use distraction techniques during procedures and can be found providing toys, games and craft to patients bedsides to improve wellbeing and normalise the hospital environment.
I would like to raise money specifically for the Play Team at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, to be spent on new preparation resources, which will enable them to provide the BEST support to patients.
This includes models of MRI scanners, Specialist books, iPads, New dolls and bears with medical devices and tubes attached (to be used to teach children).
Any help would be incredible and massively appreciated!
THANK YOU!
