Story
Team Eashan !
My son Eashan has been diagnosed with NF1, a lifelong condition which is likely to affect his nervous system over time. At the moment, he is being treated through chemotherapy for an Optical Pathway Glioma, a tumour around his optic pathway which has severly affected his sight. He is being looked after by a fantastic team at the Paediatric Oncology ward/unit in QMC (Nottingham University Hospitals) without whom Eashan would not have made the progress he has so far. So this is something very small we can do in recognition of the amazing work that they do for Eashan and other equally amazing brave boys and girls going through such life-altering experiences. The nurses, doctors, staff are incredibly professional and resilient. They take a lot in and only give back compassion and positivity.
Speaking of which, this is also to further contribute to the amazing effort and challenge that my wife Jen is undertaking in tackling the great north run this year for the same cause.
Thus, along with Ruth, her kids and all amazingly supportive friends, we are running the Alton Towers 10K to raise money for the paediatric oncology team at NUH.
Thank you very much for contributing. It means a lot!!
