Hi Everyone,

I have decided to run the Wokingham half marathon for Naoimi House, which is a hospice for sick children. In the past few months, my life has been touched by 2 very special little girls, one from the Wokingham area and one from Edinburgh. Both children loved life and had so much ahead of them. Unfortunately, both little girls, one aged 4 and the other only 2 passed away this month due to cancer and are with the angels. 

Cancer is a shocking disease and I'm sure many of us can appreciate how a hospice, like Naoimi house can offer much care and support not only for the sick child but for their families also. It gives much needed respite for families of children with life-limiting illnesses. This support, does not come cheap, costing Naomi House on average, £7million a year to provide this vital service.

I haven't run a half marathon before and I know that every step I run is for a good cause. These 2 brave, little angels will give me all the encouragement and motivation I need to run the 13 miles.

 

So I urge you to donate to this very worthy cause, as every little helps.
