We raise as much money as possible to help teenagers suffering from cancer

Story

Hello! Thank you for visiting our B to D JustGiving page.

About the walk
10-12 of us will be walking & camping from Brighton to Dorking over a 5 day period, this is the 10th year anniversary of the second generation of the walk. Each time we dress up in something fun and also wear a kilt (as per tradition with the walk), we have decided this year that will each be wearing a funny hat along side our kilt. Previous years we have gone as vikings, gladiators, cowboys, pirates, Christmas characters and 18th century gentlemen

This is a tradition Paul Hawkins started around 40 years ago, and we are the second generation of the walk. We believe this is a great opportunity to raise money for Emma's bubble  as we are recognized along the walk every year and have built up a decent rapport with the local people along the walk.

Why Emma's Bubble?
Emma's Bubble Trust was chosen as our charity for this year as we had a connection with her family. Emma's mum was and still is a teacher at the local primary school that most of us attended and we still have relatives currently at the school. This is a small charity with fantastic objectives to help children with cancer and money raised is focused on helping hospitals and organisations providing specialist teenage cancer care and treatment throughout Surrey. A particular focus of their attention is the Royal Marsden in Sutton which is local to us.
