Story
As we are heading into the season of goodwill, we wanted to support some great causes whilst also having some festive fun!
We are once again asking all of our staff, alumni and friends to take part in this year’s Christmas Jumper appeal on Friday 16 December.
It’s easy to get involved: simply dig out your favourite festive knit, wear it to work and donate £2 or more. You don’t even need to splash out on a seasonal sweater to take part – just grab a plain jumper from your wardrobe and customise it using tinsel, baubles and homemade snowflakes.
Just send the code BRJU50 £2 to 70070 to donate £2 by text, or to donate £5 send the code BRJU50 £5 you can also make your donation via this page.
All donations will be split equally between the university’s Global Opportunities Scholarship fund and the annual Save the Children Christmas jumper appeal.
This year it would be wonderful to collectively raise £500.00 and every single penny you donate will make a real difference.
Thanks to the generosity of our staff, alumni, friends and students the university welcomed its first two Global Opportunities scholars in September. Emad and Husam, are hugely grateful for the opportunities the scholarship has given them saying “To be chosen as Global Opportunities scholars means the world to us, we cannot thank the university and its supporters enough for giving us this chance”. You can read more about both scholars experiences here.
Save the Children works in over 120 countries to protect children and their rights, and help them to reach their full potential.
Don’t forget to tweet your festive pictures to @brightonalumni using #brightonforever.
