In solidarity with the 97% of women in the United Kingdom that have experienced sexual assault and/or violence, we are hosting a 9.7 hour long set of netball matches. In addition to raising money for Women’s Aid, who work towards resolving the issue and lowering this statistic, we aim to spread awareness and encourage people of all athletic abilities to partake in our committed event.

• Abuse can span from psychological, sexual, online, economic abuse and coercive control. And can include, but is not limited to, physical violence.
• Worldwide women are more likely to be victims of such abuse and within the United Kingdom most known cases are perpetrated through male partners or male ex-partners.
• Every 4 days within England and Wales a woman is murdered by a male partner or male ex-partner.

This is a complex issue that requires attention and involvement from all genders to resolve, as well as inequalities within domestic abuse to be challenged.
