100,000 Step Challenge, 3 May 2020
We fund vital research into breast cancer to increase survival after diagnosis

Story

On Sunday 3rd May I will be attempting to hit 100,000 steps in one day, this is roughly 50 miles on foot, the daily step guideline is 10,000 so I will be trying to hit 10 days of daily steps into one lovely Sunday. Yes, this is going to be extremely difficult and yes my body will ache like it has never ached before but what's the point in a challenge if its too easy??

I will starting my challenge at 4:30am on Sunday morning, I will be skipping, jogging but mostly walking to 3 beautiful parks Richmond / Bushy-Hampton Court Park and finishing off at Gunnersbury.

I am going to be doing this to help raise money for Breast Cancer Research.

My reason being, over the last few weeks it has come to my attention with all this craziness that has been happening with Covid 19 there are still women dealing with the worries of breast cancer and they are not able to go through with treatment as they would usually do.

I have been amazed by the positivity of one particular woman I know and inspired to power through just as she does with life during these tough times. This is a very difficult time for everyone so any amount raised I'm glad it will go towards research and helping families now and in the future.

"A journey of a thousand miles beings with a simple step" so I will be making sure my steps are worth it.
