Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit this Justgiving page in memory of our Mum Bridie Galligan.
I have set up this fund raising page as sadly, we lost our beautiful, brave mother and wife Bridie Galligan. She fought a long battle against cancer, but God needed another Angel & sadly she passed away on the 30th December 2014.
For the later stages of the illness mum was admitted to St Luke's Hospice on the Kenton Road. Here she received around the clock care from these heaven sent members of staff. The heartfelt dedication of them all, gave my mother a comfortable last few months. The support they offered us as a family was second to none and as a family we will never forget their generosity, love and kindness . It touched us so deeply, when the pain was almost too much to bare.
There are thousands of people like mum whose illnesses are no longer curable and it’s reassuring to know St Luke’s Hospice will support those suffering to provide them with the best possible quality of life during the final stages of their illness aswelll as helping to comfort the family when going through such a difficult and vulnerable time.
As you may be aware St Luke’s is a charity run hospice and rely on the generosity of the community: individuals, companies and organizations for over 75% of their funding.
I would like to ask you all to donate as much or little as you can so that this amazing place and staff can carry on to provide to others the same level of care and support they offered our beautiful mum Bridie and my family.
