Fundraising for Brooke
Story
Hello!
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am running the Reading Half Marathon on the 29th of March. The course is 21K or 13.1miles (quite far). I am running for the Brooke Hospital for animals and you can find more information about the charity here: http://www.thebrooke.org/
Here is some text I copied from their website:
The Brooke is the world's leading overseas equine welfare charity and aims to improve the lives of horses, donkeys and mules working in the poorest parts of the world. These animals form the backbone of the economy in many developing countries, supporting countless poor communities where many people experience chronic effects of poverty.
50p could pay for four hoof picks to help keep hooves free from dirt and infection
£10 could pay for anti-rabies vaccinations for 20 hardworking horses or donkeys
£40 could pay for a vet for a day, who will treat sick and injured horses and donkeys
£64 could pay for a roadside rescue pack for weak and collapsed horses and donkeys.
I'd be most grateful for some of your hard earned cash to help motivate me and support this charity. Any amount will be greatly appreciated!
