Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After a summer of hiking/walking and completing the Wolf Run, I caught the bug and in search of a new challenge, I came across a charity website. There I found The National Three Peaks Challenge - a climb of the highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowden) in 48 hours!
The start date of the trek which initially involves the drive to Scotland fell on the 15th May 2015... 5 years to the day that my husband Glenn passed away, 5 years to the day that he took his own life! It was this that made me realise I would be fulfilling my challenge in his memory (we climbed Scafell together many years ago) and raising money for MIND.... a charity that is close to our hearts ♥ A charity that provides help and support for anyone experiencing a mental health problem including depression and suicide.
So together with my son Thierry, my brother Tim and some close friends, we will be taking on this challenge and we would really appreciate your support to this worthwhile charity. Training started today with a short 6 mile hike around Edgehill (working off the extra calories from the festive season!!!)
Thank you for your help and support x x
