Story

As part of our CharityBegins@Home challenge, which we launched in April to help those hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, our colleagues from the Bridges Property Funds have chosen to support Food4Heroes in the run up to Christmas.

Please join us in raising £10,000  to contribute to the roll-out of their successful pilot to offer free, healthy, high quality cooked meals to food banks. Food4Heroes was set up in March 2020, and has delivered 230,000 meals across 43 hospitals to frontline staff - and they are now putting their efforts towards providing food for communities hard hit by the pandemic. Their goal is to serve 50 food banks in next 6 months with 10,000 meals per week - in Yorkshire, Southwest, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Kent and Essex.

Our funding will enable the acquisition of refrigeration equipment for food banks, and the cost of meals.  One meal costs £2. One commercial fridge/freezer costs £1,500.

Our Property colleagues are working hard for the fundraising - they  are committing to collectively move 1,000 miles over next 6 weeks!
PLEASE SUPPORT THEM, and join them in walking, cycling, running or swimming (in your bathtub) if you wish!
