We, the Doherty Sisters, are running the Cambridge Half Marathon together in aid of Millie Mittoo Children's Projects.  They are a small but mighty charity whose first project, Sofia House, provides a wonderful home for female orphans in Islamabad.  The girls in Sofia house live in a family environment and in addition to being provided with food, shelter & education, are being nurtured in a loving and supportive environment.

We are fundraising for Millie Mittoo Children's Projects because we are proud to support an organisation that provides a loving home to female orphans.  Investing in girls is one of the best things we can do to promote a healthier, more prosperous world. More importantly, it’s the right thing to do.  Every girl has the right to be in charge of her future and her fate, and we have the collective obligation to protect her rights and promote her wellbeing.
