Story
I am Brian the Lion the BUCS mascot, and for a third year in a row I am hosting a mascot race on Saturday 18th February at BUCS Nationals.
The race this year is being held in aid of Anthony Nolan on behalf of Sheffield Marrow. Anthony Nolan is the UK’s stem cell register, and Sheffield Marrow are a group of student volunteers who spend their spare time signing people up to the register. I will be going head to head with Sheffield Marrow’s very own mascot Mr Marrow and there’s no way I’m losing to a weedy vegetable like him!
It’s easy to enter your university mascot. Just donate £30 to
Anthony Nolan through this page and they’re in! The race will take place at EIS Sheffield on Saturday 18th February as part of the Indoor Athletics programme.
Get training as there is no way I am coming last this year. Good luck in the training for second place!
Brian
PS Sheffield Marrow will be at various locations including EIS and Ponds Forge over the weekend signing people up to the register; so keep an eye out for them!
