Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In July 2016, I will be cutting off the majority of my hair and donating it to the Little Princess Trust. Alongside this, I am aiming to raise some money to donate to Macmillan Cancer Research.
In April 2016, my Granddad got diagnosed with stage 2 bladder cancer, he is still undergoing chemotherapy and dealing with all of the side effects as they come. I spent my childhood with my grandparents house as my second home and as a result am incredibly close with my Granddad. I want to try and help in every way I can, and although I am aware that the money I raise will not necessarily go to my granddad through Macmillan, I am a strong believer in what goes around, comes around.
Other members of my family have lost their battles to cancer and I would like to donate my hair in their memory. My Great Aunt Rose lost her battle in 2010, she had been battling for many years and despite going into remission, she unfortunately had a relapse and fought for as long as she could. Another family member who lost her battle was my Aunties mum before I was born. Although I did not personally know her, I have heard many great things about her and would also like to dedicate my hair donation to her. My cousin was also diagnosed with cancer when she was four, after undergoing treatment for a few years, she is in remission and has been for awhile.
I believe Macmillan deserve all the money that I can raise as they help people, both undergoing treatment and their families, when all else seems helpless. Macmillan strongly believe that "no-one should face cancer alone," and I want to do what I can to help them achieve their aims.
It would mean so much to me and my family if you were able to donate, any little helps! Thankyou in advance!
