Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page supporting the work of Catholic Charities Atlanta. What draws me to support Catholic Charities Atlanta is the diverse list of available services they provide: Legal aid for Immigration, Refugee Support, helping Veterans connect to resources, and counseling, housing, and educational services for the most vulnerable in the Atlanta community.
I was introduced to Catholic Charities Atlanta by a good friend, who was a member of the leadership class a few years ago and has continued to stay involved with CCA. He shared with me some of the great things Catholic Charities does in the Atlanta community and encouraged me for a few years to apply to Leadership Class. Early in 2020 pre-Covid, Robin and I were guests of he and his wife at the annual Catholic Charities Soiree and we heard more about the great things CCA does. It was the final convincing I needed to jump in.
I was lucky enough to grow up in a Catholic home with parents who loved me and supported me through my successes and my failures. Growing up I learned the value of hard work but also enjoyed the privilege of a financially and emotionally stable home. My parents are great examples of how to be men and women for others and for years have supported a whole host of Catholic organizations with their time and resources. They already know, and I have continued to learn as well, the importance of giving back and supporting those who do not have the resources or stability I enjoyed. There are so many people who are struggling in the world, and specifically the Atlanta community, who just need a little helping hand to get back on their feet or through a tough situation. Catholic Charities Atlanta is there to be that hand.
Catholic Charities Atlanta ensures that vulnerable individuals can attain economic self-sufficiency through programs designed to develop critical life skills, provide education and access to employment, address their well-being, and ensure families have basic food security and safety.
Through your donation, you can join me in helping communities in Atlanta one family at a time.
