Story
On 11th July 2020 I am going to walk 36 miles in a 360 degrees route (or as close to a circular route as possible) to raise money for the Roundhouse and its charitable work with young people.
The Roundhouse is a hub of inspiration where artists and emerging talent create extraordinary work and where young people can grow creatively as individuals. They believe in the power of creativity to change lives. By giving young people the chance to engage with the arts through our music, media and performance projects, they inspire them to reach further, dream bigger, and achieve more. They do this because they believe creativity gives us freedom, hope and has the power to transform.
It’s anticipated that soon there will be two million young people who will be unemployed as a direct result of Covid-19. Many were disadvantaged before the pandemic, and will need support now
more than ever. It is a desperate time for many people and organisations.
Every penny raised will go towards supporting the most vulnerable young people the Roundhouse work with so that they can learn skills and gain experience in the hope that when job opportunities arise that they will be ready.
I recognise that there are a lot of people fundraising right now but if you are able to donate to this fantastic cause it would be greatly appreciated.
