Story
Last year I challenged myself to swim in excess of 5 miles by swimming Coniston Water in the Lake District. I did this swim with the ambition of raising monies for the charity Children with Cancer.
This year motivated by the generosity of my request to you all I am training to swim another lake.
2 years ago my 8 year old granddaughter Jessica was diagnosed with leukaemia. After a period of intense treatment she unfortunately passed away. During this time we witnessed an enormous amount of kindness, help and caring towards her and all her immediate family. I therefore wish to acknowledge all the kindness, help and care that took place.
On 17 July I shall be swimming the full length of Ullswater which is in excess of 7 miles.
I would like to do this to raise money for the charity Children with Cancer UK to help with research and care for children like Jessica in the hope that no other child has to go through what she did.
I would be very grateful if you could spare money to support this amazing charity.
I have attached a link to their website if you would like to understand more about the work they do.
