Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Oh dear, what have I agreed to do? And I've left it way too late to ask for donations, so I am resorting to begging you. I beg you, don't read on, just click the 'donate' button and get this thing rolling. It's not for me to buy a car or anything frivolous, it's for something really worthwhile. AND I'm running a bloody half marathon for goodness sake - at my age! And in my poor state of health. Last year I didn't even make it, after tearing a calf muscle during training (thanks to all who donated last year though - I'd like to say no need to donate again, but it's for charity so I won't suggest that).
Sponsoring me here will send Family Rights Group your donation and you can then laugh at my poor finishing time on 10th September for your trouble. Oh dear. What have I agreed to do?
More about the charity you'll be supporting, if you're still reading on:
Some charities find it hard to raise funds compared to the bigger household names. Family Rights Group is one of them. They are one of the invisible charities full of unsung heroes that do great things for kids and families. They help them navigate the complicated social care system and basically help keep children within their families and give carers a voice.
