CLEFT aims to research the unanswered problems in improving care for children born with cleft lip and palate. We aim to push the boundaries of conventional treatment by funding research into improving operating techniques and by looking at the underlying reasons for cleft deformities.

Story

On Sunday 14th October 2018 I am running in the Royal Parks Half Marathon for CLEFT.

Thank you very much to all of you who have supported CLEFT by sponsoring me in the past . As a result of your support in previous years you have  contributed £3296. Hopefully I will be able to raise even more this year.

In 2014 I ran with a very a painful foot (plantar fasciitis) and the thought of all that sponsorship was the incentive I needed to finish.

After a 2 year lay off (the first after a fractured skull in 2015 and an unavoidable trip away in 2016) I ran again in 2017 albeit a little slower than in previous years and hopefully I will improve my time this year.

Your support is greatly appreciated and I can assure you that your donations will be put to good use supporting research into the causes and treatment of cleft lip and palate and supporting cleft teams in several poor countries.
