Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.I am walking from John O' Groats to Lands End in memory of ex Marine Commando George Simms,our Dad.Any money donated will go to Broughton House Veteran care Village would looked after him so splendidly in the last few years of his life.He landed on Dday with the 41 Royal Marine Commandoes.So many of this group were killed it was disbanded at the end of the War.He would have wanted this walk to be in memory of those brave lads.I am clocking up the miles by walking around the district I live in ,in Blackburn.When it rains I get on my exercise bike.I started in early Feb. and hope to finish by my 72 birthday in the middle of August.More later....including how to donate George's Bonus miles!
