Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As those of you who know me, will know, I have taken part in this event every year since it began in 2013. This year it will be slightly more poignant than before, following the recent death of my father in November 2015. My father grew up and spent many years of his life in London and the route that this event takes, passes numerous places that had some significance in his life and many memories of time we spent together. I wanted to raise money for a charity that was close to his heart and decided that Make-A-Wish would be perfect. In 1990 we sadly lost my younger brother Keith at the young age of 14 to Leukaemia. One of Keith's dream was to visit Disneyland in Florida and in 1989 Make-A-Wish made that dream come true for him, so it is an absolute pleasure to raise money for such a wonderful charity.
This year will also be special because I am riding the 100 mile route with my youngest daughter Samantha and she is also raising money for Make-A-Wish in memory of Keith, as are the other cyclists that will be part of our group.
