Story
I have completed a number of sporting challenges over the years and always been asked why I haven't used them to raise money. The Cotswold Classic is a half-iron distance triathlon and is by far the hardest challenge I have taken on but is nothing compared to the daily challenges that my good friend and his family go through each day with their son Tommy who has been diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome.
Dravet Syndrome is a severe form of epilepsy with frequent and prolonged seizures, developmental delay and speech impairment. So while I am swimming 1.2 miles, cycling 56 miles and running 13.1 miles I will be motivated by the thought that completing it will have raised some funds for a little known charity that makes all the difference to children like Tommy and their families.
