Story
At 57 years old, my father was a healthy young man. One evening, he was found lying in a road and was taken to the local hospital and to this day, we still do not know what happened. My father was given 48 hours to live and spent more than one year in hospital. Following this accident, he lost all short term memory and for the last 20 years was cared by his family and his sister Linda Bumpstead.
Sadly, late 2018, Linda who had cared for her brother for the last 20 years passed away following a battle with a brain tumour.
I have chosen to run the London Marathon for the Disabilities Trust who are one of the leading charity brain injury rehabilitation and support for people with complex needs across the UK.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and any donations would be greatly appreciated.
