Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have entered a 100km cyclo sportive event on October 3rd 2010. It is only my second ever sportive. The first was on August 15th this year and was hard work but successful. At 67 years of age it might seem a bit late but that makes it more of a challenge. That was a personal challenge just to complete the event. Now I would like to make it even more worthwhile by trying to raise some money that will be put to good use. But you dont have to worry, I will do the hard bit you just have to make a contribution!
The event I have entered is the Phil Cooke Challenge Ride. For details see their website, http://www.challengingtimes.org.uk/index.htm.
The event itself is also in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care, a contribution coming from the entry fee I have paid. The event starts from Dunchurch in Warwickshire and then 100km of ups and downs in Warwickshire and Northamptonshire and back to the start. It should take me upwards of 4 hours cycling.
For personal reasons I have a great deal of sympathy for cancer care charities and the work that thye do. This is my way to help.
