Dear friends, family and colleagues, 

As some of you may know, I am a member of the Junior Advisory Board ("JAB") for Her Justice - a nonprofit organization that provides free legal services to women and children living in poverty in New York City.  Her Justice's clients have been disproportionately impacted by the current pandemic and various other crises facing our country.  The Her Justice staff is working hard to ensure that its client continue to receive the help they so desperately need, and the JAB is committed to supporting the organization in these efforts.

To that end, we have launched the Shift the Power Campaign with the goal of raising $1,000,000 by December 31, 2022. 

The Her Justice Shift the Power Campaign is a commitment to advancing economic justice for women living in poverty in New York City, recognizing economic empowerment as a key factor in achieving gender equity, racial justice, and safety for survivors of intimate partner violence.  

Simply put, economic justice is about power.  

Her Justice is advancing economic justice by providing free, critical legal services to women living in poverty who rely on the civil justice system for basic freedoms: personal autonomy, financial independence, and the chance to live free from abuse

We may not be able to gather in person, but we can come together to bring about change. We can bring the community together toward a common cause.
