Story
It’s important to me to start off Daniels charity by doing something personal and meaningful and I thought walking the Capital Ring was a good fit.
Of course running it would be quicker but my ceramic hip would not take too kindly to that!!
My brother Richard will be joining me for sections of the walk as he wants to help with Daniels Charity.
Daniel loved Richard’s company and thrived on listening to his tales of old.The two of them had a lot in common with each other.
When Daniel was ill, Alison and I mentioned to him that we wanted to help children like him with cancer
It was our promise to him and he thought that was a great idea.Raising money and doing something positive for children with cancer correlates with Daniel’s whole mantra of being kind , considerate , and bringing some sunshine and happiness to someone’s life.
We saw first hand how life had dealt Daniel the worst possible hand. Instead of negativity he was only interested in enjoying his day , socialising with his friends, loving every moment and squeezing out all the positives that life could offer him despite his debilitating illness. The fortitude and energy he showed was the most incredible display of bravery that I will ever experience
My son is my hero and it’s now my turn to make him proud. It’s what he deserves.
I am planning to raise money for his charity by organising Golf and Football days too and will keep everyone updated on the website.
To thank everyone who donates, we will gift the following:. £40 donations will receive a Doing it for Daniel T shirt and £100 donations a hoodie
We know there are dozens of charities out there and all of them are doing an amazing job but we would like to thank everyone for considering Daniels charity.
All the proceeds will be going to help children with cancer by offering them gifts and experiences to put a smile on their faces.
We will also be donating money to Brain Tumour Research as we all want to live in a world where this cruel disease doesn’t take away our beautiful children.
Daniel Caplan our pride and joy and our heart and soul.
Loved to the Moon and back.
