Story

Everyone, meet Pepper.  Pepper is a 10 week old Labrador Retriever who has a big job ahead of him when he grows up.  We are volunteer foster puppy raisers for Paws With A Cause, and Pepper is the sixth puppy we are raising for Paws With A Cause.

We brought Pepper home on November 17, 2020 and will have him until he is 14 to 16 months old.  During that time, our role is to care for him, teach him basic obedience and to expose him to the world around us.  All of this is to form a basis for the additional training he will receive when he goes back to Paws With A Cause to continue his training.

We would love it if you could help us support Paws With A Cause through your financial contributions.

PAWS To Be Thankful, our annual online fundraiser, starts November 17 and runs through #GivingTuesday on December 1.

This year our theme "Help Send a PAWS Dog Home!" is centered around the logistics needed for a dog to be delivered to their forever human. PAWS Dogs are placed with clients in 33 states, many of which are not a drivable distance from our headquarters. Flying a PAWS Dog to their destination is often the best way to send them home.

Additionally, the moment a client receives their PAWS Dog, a Field Representative is there to help the team through every step of their journey. In the beginning the Field Rep meets with the Client/Dog Team daily until they are working smoothly together. The Field Rep maintains a relationship with the client to provide support and ensure the match is successful for years to come. The only way PAWS can provide this unique model of support is through your generosity.

A gift of...

$30 - provides one hour of support from a PAWS Field Representative

$50 - purchases a collar, leash, Nylabone, and Kong for to go home with a dog

$100 - purchases a crate for the client to use at home

$300 - purchases a ticket to fly a dog home

$500 - sends equipment and supplies home for a Client/Dog Team
