Story

National Three Peaks Challenge

The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours. Dave Lorimer, Lee, Lawson Alex Lane and myself will start on 19/06/2019 at Ben Nevis and hopefully finish at Mount Snowden on the 20/06/2019 climbing Scaffell Pike In between.

The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance. The total driving distance is 462 miles.

Dave’s little cousin Ruairi was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma In July 2018 and his local village set up a charity called Super RU which is partnered with the CCLG which enables all proceeds to be channeled in to the most relevant areas of research.

Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group is a leading children's cancer charity and the UK and Ireland's professional association for those involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer. Each week in the UK and Ireland, more than 30 children are diagnosed with cancer. We bring together professionals to ensure all children receive the best possible treatment and care. We support young patients and their families with our award winning, expert information. We fund and support research into childhood cancers.
