Story

Hello all,

The expression “Well it seemed a good idea at the time” comes to mind however, it is true that I am signed up and in training for a cycling tour from Paris to London.

That’s right, in the warm heady days of  mid-summer (June 18-20), I will be trundling along on my bicycle across the Normandy, Sussex and Surrey countryside in support of Care International’s efforts to help ease poverty in the third world, in particular South America, which is a region close to my heart.

It is not, as some have suggested, to do with me enjoying wearing lycra shorts or shaving my legs – I can assure you I have no claim to be anything like Lance Armstrong.

It will, however, involve cycling some 322 kms (201 miles) from La Defense, Paris over 3 days via the Dieppe/Newhaven crossing of the Channel and finishing at Tower Bridge in London

So dig deep in support of a good cause and seeing me in lycra shorts or unable to walk afterwards (depending on your preference) as no amount is too small (or too big) given it all goes to Care International.

Best regards,

Brendon
