We provide suicide prevention resources to help prevent suicide in the UK

Story

Men are three times more at risk of suicide than young women – in 2010 75% of suicides were men. But while smoking and knife crimes make the headlines, suicide is the biggest killer.

Most of you know already I ran the London Marathon in 2011 for CALM and since quitting with Software AG, I've started volunteering with them. Working in their office is one thing - but raising money through sponsored runs makes a huge difference not just to their finances but also to their visibility.

CALM promotes and delivers a free, confidential, anonymous helpline and website targeted at young men, though CALM will listen to and support anyone who needs advice or support, regardles of age, gender or geographic location.

Have you, your family or circle of friends been affected by suicide? Or have high profile cases like that of Gary Speed or Lee Alexander McQueen shocked you?? Help support the great work CALM is doing to prevent suicide in our society.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Each and every donation is appreciated.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks - Bren.
