We research early diagnosis and treatments to beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Team:  Brenda, daughters Clare and Katie and best friend Olive.

Sadly we lost our Team Leader, Peter to pancreatic cancer in May 2014, just two short months after diagnosis.  This confirms how silent and deadly pancreatic cancer is.

We also lost a dear cousin Laura to pancreatic cancer this year after her brave participation in clinical trials to assist in the search for new drug therapies.

As Peter's first anniversary falls on the same weekend as the BUPA 10k run we decided to partake despite the fact that we are all absolute novices.  We will give it our best shot to raise funds for research into this aggressive and indiscriminate disease to enable earlier diagnosis and more effective treatments, in the hope that future sufferers will have a fighting chance of survival.  At present, the average survival time after diagnosis is 6 months.

Anything you can donate, no matter how little, will be greatly appreciated.

Please feel free to share this page with friends in order to support this vital research.
