Story
Running your first marathon is a challenge, and also kind of scary. So, one might ask why do it....Well, I am running the Marathon on behalf of The Brain and Spine Foundation, a charity which provides much needed support to familes, carers and individuals affected by neurological disorders. They support research into the causes and treatments, and also to find ways of supporting the quality of life of people affected by neurological conditions.
MOLLYS APPEAL:
This is an appeal on behalf of my much loved owner Breda, she keeps getting up and going for long runs, apparently, she and many other crazy people are running the London Marathon. I don't understand, she is not chasing a ball or a stick, just running to help people with brain and spinal injuries. Please sponsor her and enable her to help those individuals, their families and carers, who have been affected by brain injuries. I fear she may take me on a long run soon...or sell me to raise the £1500.00 sponsorship that she needs. Please, I beg you, add your support by signing the petition; "Keep Molly in Bed" @ mollydoglovesbed.com.
Also, until she comes back from running, I am stuck with Shoogly, he's the dumb dog on the right who is almost stupid enough to run the 26 miles with her...Please help us all....
The BSF receives no Government funding and is entirely dependent on charitable donations. It currently raises a little over £500,000 per year compared to £50 million for the British Heart Foundation and £100 million to cancer UK. So, all donations, big or small, are gratefully received...
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Brain and Spine Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
