Story
This June, my friends and I will be taking part in Race The Sun in the Brecon Beacons in aid of Action Medical Research. Teams of four are taking part in this extremely tough dawn to dusk event where they will cycle 35 miles ascending 1000m around the incredible winding lanes of the Brecons, navigate a 2-mile canoe course, and finally summit of Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons with an altitude of 886m, on an 8 mile round trip to raise money for an incredible cause.
Action Medical Research are the leading UK-wide charity dedicated to funding vital research to help sick babies and children. They are on a mission to save and change children’s lives through medical research, developing treatments, vaccinations and cures. For 70 years they have been saving and changing lives through medical research and have spent over £128m (over £353m in today’s terms), funding some amazing breakthroughs. They are now driving forward children’s research, including in the fight against COVID-19 and rare diseases.
Today in the UK, there are hundreds of thousands of sick and disabled babies, children and young people who need our help. Action funds desperately needed research to tackle the diseases that devastate the lives of so many of our children.
We would be very grateful if you can support this very worthwhile charity with us and help change children’s lives for the better.
Thank You
