Story

Hi,

My name is Myles, I am a songwriter/performer from Cork and am raising funds for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland - a charity close to my family's heart - thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

My song 'Breathe Easy' is a heartfelt tribute to my niece Ciara, who lost her battle with cystic fibrosis complications in 2017, just ten days after giving birth to her son, Rocco. Written in her memory, the song is a powerful and moving testament to her strength and resilience.

I am honoured to have the talented and lovely Stephanie Rainey lend her voice to this emotional piece. With her incredible voice and heartfelt delivery, Stephanie brings the lyrics to life and captures the essence of the song's message. Together, we hope that 'Breathe Easy' will help raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis and honour Ciara's memory in a meaningful way.

The song will be released on April 7th and all royalties earned will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. I have created this page so you can donate directly, and all donations would be gratefully received.

Ciara's Mam, Susan, has written a paragraph so you know a little about Ciara and the lives she touched while she was on this earth:

"Ciara O'Gorman was born on July 15th 1993, daughter to Susan Curran and Kieran O'Gorman and sister to Sarah. When Ciara was a toddler, she was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. All her life she lived her life to the fullest, never letting her illness get in her way.

Although her illness often made her very ill, she was strong, defiant and full of determination. Ciara was petite and graced with absolute beauty. She had the heart of a lion, shrugging off many long stays in the hospital and getting back to doing what she did best, living her life.

When Ciara reached the age of 23, she fell pregnant with her son Rocco. Ciara and Rocco's father Jordan Kearn's were both overwhelmed with joy at the news, as were her family and many friends.

Ciara gave birth to Rocco on August 23rd 2017. Unexpectedly just 10 days after giving birth Ciara fell seriously ill and lost her battle with CF.

Ciara touched many people's lives while on earth and her memory is still, and will always be, carried by all who knew her. Her legacy now lives on in her son Rocco who is very much aware of who his mother is, the love she had for her boy, her popularity and how much so many people loved her."
