My mum Helen is shaving her head to raise money for Leeds Cancer Centre. She will be starting chemotherapy on January 14th 2021 so why turn a negative into a positive?

Since being diagnosed with breast cancer, she has recieved the most amazing care from the cancer services associated with St James Hospital in Leeds and would like to use this opportunity to show her appreciation. 

From the moment she was diagnosed, their communication has been great and she has been supported every step of the way. 

Her first operation was to remove the lympth nodes in her armpit. She then went back a few weeks later to have a single masectormy and reconstruction using the fats from her back. 

Even though the cancer was removed, she has been advised to have 18 weeks of intensive chemotherapy to prevent the cancer from returning as much as they can. 

There's a long road ahead but if you know my mum, you will know how strong of a person she is. 

Helens head shaving will be filmed on the weekend of January 9th 2021!
