We make lifesaving connections to help more patients survive and thrive

Story

I am raising money for the charity Anthony Nolan who help save the lives of so many people by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. They also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. I am doing this by shaving my head alongside my cousin Kerry Millership, when she is ready, who is about to start chemotherapy ready for a stem cell transplant that Anthony Nolan helped her to secure as a result of having Mylodysplasia Syndrome. This is a rare type of blood cancer which causes you to not have enough healthy blood cells and is also known as myelodysplasia. There are many different types of MDS. Some types can stay mild for years and others are more serious. I want to raise as much money as possible as a massive thank you to this amazing charity for what they have done for my cousin so any donation of any size would mean the world. Thank you!
