Story
Last summer, I challenged myself to my first open water swim and I absolutely loved it! However, when winter came along I chickened out... This year I'm determined to push myself so I'll be taking part in Brave the Chill in aid of WWF.
Every Saturday in December, I will be committing to a morning dip where I hope to improve my experience, acclimatisation and mental resilience. Since starting open water swimming I have noticed how much of a difference it makes to both my mental and physical health but I've had a very on/off relationship with it, so the idea is to become more consistent with my new hobby.
One of the best things about wild swimming is being outdoors and surrounded by nature. As well as supporting me with my own personal goals, your donations to WWF will help fight against climate change. Whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated! 🏊♀️🐼
Climate change poses the biggest threat to the future of our planet. Global temperatures have been rising for over a century and are now the highest on record. This causes negative impacts such as the melting of Arctic sea-ice, prolonged heat-waves and rising sea-levels, but we can do something about it. By sponsoring me to Brave the Chill, together we can help WWF continue to reduce our impact on the climate, and ease the pressures on the world's most vulnerable places, people and wildlife to bring our world back to life.
