Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Please help us reach our £10K target raising money and awareness for Bowel Cancer UK.

Steve sadly lost his battle with bowel cancer on the 16th December 2022. He started playing the tuba later on in life, and fully embraced all aspects of brass banding, playing for several bands across London and Hertfordshire, including Potters Bar Town Band and Ware Brass.

Steve was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in October 2021. He remained positive throughout the many treatments he had to endure. Where possible, he continued to play his tuba and attend rehearsals. As a true testament to his character, Steve was part of the bass section that played in a winning performance at a contest in Oxford in November 2022,  just one month before he passed away.

Following the success of our charity concert, Brassed off with Cancer,  held in April, we are continuing to collect donations for Bowel Cancer UK  and hoping to reach our target of £10K.
