Some of the members of Gidea Park and Romford will know of Judy and Win D'Cruz who were active members of the cricket club, and dedicated a huge amount of their time to help manage and coach the youth sections of the club. Many of you would also have played with or against their sons Andrew & Mark who are unfortunately both now at Upminster CC.
In October 2012, Judy was diagnosed with a brain tumour. After treatment, Judy has recovered well and, along with her husband Win, has campaigned to raise funds to fight this dreadful disease which is the biggest cancer killer of children and young adults aged 15-40. The Judy D'cruz Fund was set up to raise funds for the treatment and support of young people living with brain tumours. The Fund currently stands at over £40,000! Gidea Park and Romford Cricket Club invite you to join us in helping them raise more funds for this great cause on August 10th after what should be a great game between Gidea Park and Upminster at the Gallows Corner Sports Ground.
