Story
On 3rd October 2018, Bradley Raper lost his life in a car accident at the age of 24. Bradley was a much loved member of Dereham Cricket Club, and his presence both on and off the field has been sorely missed this season. Bradley was an immensely talented cricketer who was a first team regular from the age of 15. He also represented Norfolk at youth level.
On the night of Bradley’s accident, the East Anglian Air Ambulance attended the scene and swiftly transported Bradley to a specialist hospital for treatment. Despite their outstanding efforts, it was not enough to save Bradley. There are however many occasions where their work has saved lives, and as such, Bradley’s family have been raising money to support this incredible charity, who are reliant on donations in order to be able to fly and save lives.
To support Bradley’s family in their fundraising efforts, as well as bringing Bradley’s friends together to remember him and celebrate his life, we are hosting a game between a Dereham XI and a Brad XI on Sunday 25thAugust. The day will also include a charity raffle and auction, with all proceeds going to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
All donations are greatly appreciated. Since 2000 the East Anglian Air Ambulance has attended over 25,000 missions, and we want to be able to help them attend many more, saving lives and helping families in the process. Bradley may no longer be with us, but we want to ensure that he is never forgotten and to build a legacy in his name. Please help us to achieve that.
