Story
Hi there, my name is Bradley Parsons and I'm fourteen years old, at the age of ten Mum and Dad thought it would be a good idea for me to attend a summer school at our local performing arts centre, at the end of which we staged several numbers from the musical Chicago. During this summer school I realised that I had a love of dance and that dancing made me feel amazing.
Since doing my first performance I have been in a number of musical theatre shows with our local performing arts school and I dance 5 times a week. The opportunity for me to dance with the London Children Ballet at Saddlers Wells Theatre is immense and I am looking forward to giving the performance of my life so far! I am also looking forward to meeting people with a similar passion for dance and can't wait to be in such a professional production.
The London Children’s Ballet is a charity; it was founded in 1994 with the aim to give young dancer’s aged 9-14 (boys 9-16) the chance to be part of a professional ballet production. The 6 month process of auditions, casting, and rehearsals is free but it costs a lot per child for costumes etc.. so that’s why we need to raise as much money as we can.
The London Children’s ballet doesn’t look for dancers by their physique; they look for that special star quality that makes a dancer.
LCB meets on Sunday afternoons from January through April so the dancers are able to stay at their academic school.
We need you to help so we can put on an amazing show, even if the amount isn’t huge it all counts! London Children’s ballet depends on the generosity of private donors, trusts, foundations and corporate sponsorship, so any amount would be much appreciated. Thank you and we hope to see you at Easter for Rumplestiltskin!
If you would like to come and see the Ballet then we are doing six performances between the 28th of April and the 1st of May, tickets can be found by following this link.
