Story
Those of you who know me well will know that apart from my love of my family, property and football I have a huge passion for running.
Running offers me huge Mental Health benefits. The opportunity to decompress and contemplate life in fresh air, away from usual every day distractions. In fact, some of my best deals have been invented whilst pounding pavements and open spaces around the world.
I also have a close personal relationship with Mental Health issues as my 19 year old daughter has suffered badly for several years. Thankfully she is now recovering well but with Mental Health issues a challenge can come from any direction at any time.
I am proud to be running this year's TCS London Marathon on behalf of the Mental Health Foundation who focus on protecting people's mental health.
While it isn’t possible to stop all mental ill-health from developing, many mental health problems can be prevented with the right approach and their work involves rigorous research and practical projects to identify what's most helpful. Public information that empowers people to look after their mental health and influencing work to move policies in the right direction.
The pandemic has sadly increased Mental Health issues but on the flip side it has raised awareness, however it isn’t going away and will likely grow more prevalent as we move into difficult economic times.
I would be so grateful if you could support my endeavours by sponsoring me and helping Mental Health Foundation fund their invaluable work.
Many thanks,
Bradley
