Event: Machu Picchu Peru, from 16 September 2022 to 26 September 2022
In memory of Brad Gwynne
At The Royal Marsden, we see over 50,000 cancer patients a year. If these people are diagnosed early, we have a much better chance of treating their cancer successfully.

Story

Shaunn's husband Brad was treated for stomach cancer at the Royal Marsden in Chelsea in 2020/21 but died in March 2021 at 47, just six months after his diagnosis. Machu Picchu represents strength and perserverence, which are qualities that cancer patients have in abundance. By doing this trek in Brad's name, we remember and honour his journey and we hope that we can make a small difference in the experience of those dealing with cancer treatments.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
