Story

Bradfield College's Michaelmas Cabaret Concert is supporting Prevent Breast Cancer

Predict. Prevent. Protect.

Unlike many cancer charities, rather than finding a cure, Prevent Breast Cancer is entirely dedicated to finding the causes of breast cancer. This is in the hope of minimising the effect that breast cancer will have on future generations. They were part of the team which discovered the BRCA1 gene and continue to explore better screening and diagnostic tools.

Prevent Breast Cancer promotes early diagnosis, healthier lifestyles, genetic research and better treatment, whilst working together with others to influence change in breast cancer services.

Predict. Prevent. Protect. You could call it our mantra. As the only UK charity entirely dedicated to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer, we’re committed to freeing the world from the disease altogether. Unlike many cancer charities, we’re focused on preventing, rather than curing. Promoting early diagnosis, screening and lifestyle changes, we believe we can stop the problem before it starts. Being situated at the only breast cancer prevention centre in the UK, we’re right at the front-line in the fight against the disease.
