My name is Yordanos and I’m running to raise funds for the Da’aro Youth Project. Da’aro is a community-led charity that supports young refugees and asylum-seekers from the Horn of Africa in south London.

Many of these young people arrive in the UK alone, facing trauma, isolation, and barriers to education and integration. Da’aro offers them a lifeline through community, support, and opportunity.

Where the Money Will Go

Every donation will directly help fund:

ESOL Provisions – Giving young people access to English classes tailored to their needs, helping them learn, communicate, and build confidence in a new country.

Qualified ESOL Teachers – Supporting the hiring of trained educators who understand the unique challenges refugee youth face in the classroom.

Resources for Our Three Youth Clubs - Ensuring that Injera Club, Salam Club, and the Integration Programme have the equipment, supplies, and support they need to run safe, engaging, and welcoming spaces.

Trips and Activities – Funding group outings that give young people a chance to explore, connect, and experience life beyond their daily struggles.
