Let's End Detention Free Them All

I’m running because freedom is not a metaphor.
I’m running because no one deserves to be locked away.
I’m running because I refuse to wake up in a fascist world.
I’m running because, since 1999, more than 400 people have died trying to cross the Channel.
I’m running because, since Labour came into power, more than 19,00 people have been forcibly removed from the UK.
I’m running because:
No one leaves home unless
Home is the mouth of a shark
You only run for the border
When you see the whole city running as well (Home, Warsan Shire)
This year, I’m running to support Bail for Immigration Detainees (BID)—a small, independent charity fighting to reunite people with their families and communities. Every day, BID works to challenge the detention machine that tears parents away from their children, separates friends from loved ones, and isolates people in a system designed to break them.
BID receives no public funding. They rely entirely on the generosity of people like you. Every penny you give will directly support:
- Free legal advice for people in immigration detention
- Training volunteers to help fight for justice
- Keeping helplines open for those who need them most

I’m fundraising through JustGiving—a safe, fast, and secure way to donate. Once you contribute, your money goes directly to BID, ensuring they can continue their vital work.
Every step I take in this run is a step toward justice. Will you take one with me?
Thank you for standing with me—and for freedom & access to justice. for all. #FreeThemAll #ChallengeDetention
