We encourage and help the disadvantaged to enjoy a fulfilled life

Story

On Friday 13th June a team of four staff at BPE Solicitors will set off on a gruelling bike ride, spanning five countries and 900 miles in just 10 days.

Senior Partner at BPE, John Workman, along with Partners Tim Williams, Jon Close and Chief Operating Officer Adrian Peake will be cycling from Luxembourg to Budapest to raise money for the Footprints Foundation. Their goal is to raise £20,000 for the charity. Every penny you donate will go straight to the children.

Bob Holt, best known to many as Chairman of Mears Group PLC is the founder of Footprints. He has sportingly volunteered to drive the support vehicle and provide encouraging and helpful advice as the team progresses. BPE and Bob are covering all costs.

To achieve their goal the team need your support, so please dig deep and help them to raise money for a worthy cause.

This isn’t the first time BPE has supported the Footprints Foundation. In October 2011 a group of ten BPE colleagues travelled to South Africa to help improve and refurbish the land and buildings at Zenzeleni Orphanage. The centre helps to feed hundreds of children each day and gives shelter to local orphans, many of whom have lost their parents to AIDs or have been abandoned by their families.

Over 10 days the team from BPE assisted with painting, DIY and gardening to help rebuild and decorate the existing buildings and cultivate 30 acres of fields on the land so more food can be grown on site. The work they did will go towards helping the orphanage feed more children who at the moment only usually get one daily meal which the centre provides. The trip was life changing for the staff members that went. The orphanage still needs support which is why the BPE team is setting off on this epic cycle ride.
