If someone had told me a year ago that I'd be organising and taking part in a 5K run with obstacles and mud, I would have laughed at them but here I am - something I'm really excited about and I'm so proud that I've come this far.

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. I'm doing this for myself but also in memory of my wonderful and very much missed mum, dad and nan and my Uncles Pete and David and for all those who have lost their battle against cancer or other diseases such as COPD, Diabetes and heart disease.
