Hi My Name is Amy......

I am setting this page up on behalf of some of our lovely friends who would like to make there contribution to a very worthy course & charity close to my heart.

On the 13th June 2012, A beautiful little girl was taken from her Mummy & Daddy, family & friends.  Her name was Lily Crookham.  She was my friend Nikki & Nick's little girl.  Lily was oly 15mths old,  she had just stopped being a baby & was becomming a very cheeky, bubbly little girl, into everything & always had a smile on her face.

Lily fell ill with cold & flu like symptoms over the Bank Holiday weekend 2nd-4th of June.  She was taken to hospital on 2 occasions by her Mummy & Daddy where they where told her illness was down to a virus.  She was still so unwell, but had no temperature, no rash & no other tell tale signs that she was seriously ill with meningitis.  Nikki & Nick took her back to Alder Hey again as her condition had deteriorated even more that Lily collapsed not long after arrival in the early hours of Wednesday 6th June 2012.  She was then sedated & taken into the ICU.  Lily spent a week there having many up & downs, but never woke again & sadly lost her battle to Meningitis a week later on Wednesday 13th June. 

Our Beautiful Princess became an angel. 

Her passing has changed so many lives.  As a friend of the family & a Mother myself, I know that we will raise as much money & help raise as much awarness as possible to prevent this happening to any other families.

David Smith, Nicholas Jones, Andrew Moyes & Thomas Boden have kindly set themselves up the challenge of cycling Coast2Coast, aprox 150miles in just 2 days & to raise some money in the process in Lily's name for The Meningitis Trust.
